Non-Fiction (Ebook Cookbook):

Author: Rhonda Plumhoff

On Amazon , B&N Nook

Price: $2.99

Talk about one superfab sweet treat to share with ya today at The RG2E…who needs just one box of chocolate from Cupid when you could Ebook Gift an entire cookbook full of chocolate recipes, based on a few of this chef’s fave book characters?!

This Cookbook is just a hoot and then some!

Here’s the scoop…straight from the book’s author Rhonda Plumhoff:

I’ve combined both my passions in life into one book. 32 new chocolate recipes created for some of my favorite book characters. Everything from a Martini for H.P. Mallory’s character, Knightley Vander, to Enchilada’s for Gemma Halliday’s character, Jack Ramirez. These are fun new ways to use chocolate in some of your favorite recipes.

When most people are sleeping, dreaming of tropical locations or having nightmares Rhonda dreams of food. Waking up to jot down ideas for the next time she gets into her kitchen. A genuine foodie at heart, who loves to cook for her family and friends whenever she gets the chance. She finally decided that all the recipes that have been floating around in her head or jotted down in notebooks needed to be pulled together and become a cookbook that she could share with others.

***Note from D. D. Scott:

Rhonda featured recipes for my Bootscootin’ Books‘ Roxy and Zayne as well as for my Cozy Cash Mystery Hero Roman Bellesconi!!!

You’ll get the following waaay wonderful recipes:

Roxy’s Whoop It Up Whoopie Pies

Zayne’s Bootscootin’ Rum Balls

Prince Bellesconi Biscotti

Here’s a picture of the Bellesconi that Rhonda actually mailed me to sample:

How cool is that?! And talk about waaay, waaay yummy!!!

Author: Lisa Lim

On Amazon

Price: $2.99

Word Count: 298 pages

Bridget Jones’s Diary meets The Office. Madison Lee is a fresh college grad, ready to take on the world of print media. But she has zero luck landing a job. Unemployment is at ten percent and on the rise. Desperate and left with no other options, she accepts a position as a service rep at a call center in Pocatello, Idaho. At the Lightning Speed call center in Spudsville, Maddy plunges into the wild and dysfunctional world of customer service where Sales is prided over Service and an eight hour shift is equivalent to eight hours of callers bashing her over the phone. Oh sure, the calls are bad. But Maddy manages to find humor on the phone and off the phone. And with all the salacious drama behind the calls, there is never a dull moment at the Lightning Speed call center.

Lately . . . Maddy has been pining for her smolderingly gorgeous co-worker Mika Harket. Now things are heating up on the phone–and elsewhere. Don’t hang up on this novel. Working at a call center has never been this garish . . . or this delightful.

***DISCLAIMER: If you find politically incorrect shows like The Office, South Park and Chelsea Lately detestable, juvenile and offensive, then this book is probably NOT for you.

  1. I just wanted to say that Lisa Lim’s Confessions of a Call Center Gal is FANTASTIC!! I have already read it and loved it. It is just as described, funny with some romance. Whoever is lucky enough to get this book will really enjoy it! 🙂

    • Isn’t it indeed a complete LMAO hoot and then some, Mary?!

Wait till you read Lisa’s short story in our WG2E Viva La Valentine Anthology…

Lisa Lim is truly one of my all-time fave authors!!!

      Thanks bunches for the shout-out!!!

  2. Happy Monday!
I’d Love to read Lisa Lim’s Confessions of a Call Center Gal, it looks really funny and I don’t mind a little off color humor! I feel like I’ve died and gone to Heaven, with all these great books in my Kindle. I just started Bootscootin Blahniks last night, it is WONDERFUL and very hard to put down! I’m also listening to a great children’s book on Audio, Oracles of Delphi Keep by Victoria Laurie. LOVE it and can’t put it down either. What is. . . a girl to do! LOL

  3. I don’t know which book to choose, as they both sound great. Guess I’ll choose “Confessions of A Call Center Gal” for my Kindle. Thanks SO much!
