Divorced, twenty-something Zoe Hunter is a free spirit who strings together a variety of odd jobs to generate enough income to keep her bank account barely in the black. She loves living on the edge, but her life becomes too precarious, even for her, when her ex, Jack, disappears. Then his business partner is murdered and twelve million dollars vanishes from the company bank account. The local police think Zoe may be involved in the murder while the FBI suspects Zoe knows where the money is.

With the investigation zeroing in on her, Zoe is afraid to trust the police or the Feds because they both see her as a person of interest. Zoe impulsively skips town in a search for answers that takes her from Las Vegas to Italy, but instead of tracking down answers, she only uncovers more questions. Who was Jack? Is he dead or did he fake his disappearance? What was he mixed up in—art theft, the mafia, espionage, or all three?

***Note: This is Book One in the On The Run Travel Thriller Series. The second book is Secretive (2013) and third book is Deceptive (late 2013).

  1. I love the Ellie Avery series. Will you continue that series? Have you lived all over the US like Ellie? Would love a copy of your new book for my Kindle.

    • Hi Gina! Yes, the Ellie Avery series continues. In fact, the next book is out tomorrow. It’s called Mistletoe, Merriment, and Murder. Like Ellie, I have moved around quite a bit. I’ve really enjoyed “fictionalizing” the places we’ve lived and visited.

  2. I love travel and adventure! New places and experiences.
I have started the Ellie Avery series, and I would love read “Elusive” on my Kindle.
Looking forward to a new series.
    Thank you for the opportunity.

  3. We lived in Italy for a few years when I was a kid. It was a great experience. I would love to read Elusive on my Kindle.

  4. Congratulations on your new series! It sound really interesting. During all of your traveling, is there one place that you like best or would love to visit again? I would to have a copy of Elusive for Amazon Kindle.

    • Hi Becky! These are great questions. I loved Rome and have been lucky enough to visit it several times. I spent two days in Paris once, but that wasn’t long enough! I’d love to go back and see the city without rushing from one site to another.
